Rock Tough
13 October, 2005
Author: Terrie*
We have sat together many times
Watchin’ shootin' stars
witnessed the birth of moon-beams shine with a smile
enjoyed a glimpse of a brand new day
listened to the waves of the ocean
seen them Come crashing so close
Searchin’ for somethin’ to focus on
As they slam hard against the rock
that stands in it’s way
As tough as the wave makes itself to be
The rock will never budge
So much like you and I
No matter how many waves
come crashin’ upon us in life
cleansin' our souls
with our cemented love
We will stand tall and proud
beyond eternity
