Fall Has Come, Once Again by ShyHeart

Hey, heart of mine, let's go for a walk while the sun shines
You smile, turn the oven off, it can wait for awhile, as I take
A walk with my heart and share the fall of times, drifting down
Upon golden wings, drifting to the place where our love began

Remember when, my mom told me stay away from him
He is up to no good. remember when, you held mom's hand
As Autumn leaves and dad faded away, you held her hand
Yes, heart of mine, let's go for a walk while the sun still shines

Oh, the wind is brisk, but not really cold, I have your hand in mine
Now, and then, a leafy memory touches my eyes, tears fall like Autumn leaves
You see, the love in my eyes, you hold me so close, I don't want to breath
I want you to hold me forever, there, another leaf falls, fills my eyes

Fall has come once again, leaves falling down like memories
Softly falling to reality and reminding love, how precious love is
OH, sweet heart, hold me like this forever, you just smile and say
Darling, I have never held you any other way, then, I scream!
I left the oven on, forgot to turn it off, when you asked me to take a walk

Our grand-kids arrive at our heart's home, they take all the covers off
All the furniture, clean all the carpets, and dust the furniture, then they see
That picture, of you and me, as we walked one day, catching memories
Like leaves, falling from a tree, you held me so close, I'm pleased the kids
Remember you and me, fall will come once again, like tree leaves.

I'm so pleased they found my diary and read my heart and felt the walk
You and I shared, as seasons passed by, like Autumn leaves
I hope as they read my heart, which was, and is your heart
They will understand a time, will come, when...,
