Moonlight Butterfly

You see me in the morning, my rainbow wings spread wide, you see me flutter in the
Sun-Light, a winged rainbow kissing flowers by the stream, now watch me drink from a
Moon-Light stream, just tiny wings with lips of love, that take a tiny sip
A little breeze touches my wings and I'm back to kissing hearts as I dream
I dream about tonight as my friends, rest their wings, I fly in the Moon-Light
Have you ever seen a butterfly, fly at night in the Moon-Light, on rainbow wings
Kiss every friend good-night, still I flutter and each rock glows like silver in the
Moon-Light as the stream dances in the Moon-Light, I'm the only butterfly
Sounds so lonely, as the stream gently, turns to silver in the Moon-Light
No other wings as delicate as mine, dance in the Moon-Light, tonight
I'm not your average butterfly, I am your dreams, dancing with your heart
Over a peaceful stream, see the rocks turn the water into silver, can you see me

Tammy (66.38.4.249) -- Friday, October 21 2005, 11:43 pm This poem is so beautiful! I love butterflies with their tiny angel wings. I have always had a thing about butterflies, to me I see them as my loved ones who have passed on. So when a little butterfly dances around me it makes my heart happy to know my loved one has came for a visit. Lovely poem indeed! |
