Seeing You Soon
2 December, 2003
Author: Danielle
She sits in the car,
trying to reason with her self,
for dealing this blow.
She had no regrets,
just that one little test God sent her to show.
Amy was her name, 3 was her age,
and she dealt with that pain when God took Amy back.
She said said I'll find you there,
don't despair,
Mommy will be with you soon.
She started to cough,
from all the exhaust
that kept filling her lungs to make her go.
Things got hazy for her,
while she sang that song
she sang for Amy long ago.
Now her eyes are cloudy,
and all she could see
was her daughter running to her
through the white gates
in the snow.
