Hand In Mine

Author: Devilyangelic
A whisper from you makes me melt,
the softness of your voice caressing me like felt.
So warm on my skin,
making me unable to suppress this grin.
The one you give when I see your name,
as in a heartbeat my wild heart you tame.
Making me feel as though I am flying,
when you love me so hard without even trying.
Rearranging the walls I built around my heart,
creating a doorway not blowing them apart.
Now that you're in me,
look around and you'll be sure to see.
That my huge heart is full of you,
and the love I hold is brand new.
No doubts as in you I place my trust,
for I know have faith I must.
Past pain I will now discard,
adamant not to love with a heart that's been marred.
So much love for you has swelled,
that it caused the shield to fall that I once held.
To you I open out my hand,
so that we may make a stand.
Making our first steps into the sunshine,
as you place your HAND IN MINE!!!
