Reincarnated
28 October, 2005
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Why do I feel
As though I have left my body entirely
And been reborn into someone else;
Something else
An object, really...not a person
With little or no ability to make a difference
Or feel emotion in the way
That my previous being could
Reincarnated into an inanimate thing
Whose daily routine
Is disatisfying, and unaccomplished
Unlike the girl I used to be
Whose soul poured words of wisdom
And whose laughter was genuine
A person who used to find meaning in the simplest things...
Perhaps, these sentences can bring her back
For I miss her so-
And so do you
