Have You Ever Because I Have
1 November, 2005
Author: The Lost Girl
Have you ever wandered the crowded school way halls,
finding no one to share your pain, or hear your lonely calls?
Have you ever secretly pleaded to be saved from pain,
But watch people ignore the signs and leave your life in vain?
Have you ever told a friend about what’s locked inside,
And watch them slowly walk away, go somewhere and hide?
Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and felt sick.
So you decide to change yourself and purgings what you pick?
Have you ever searched for relief, because that is what you need,
So you sit alone and watch your reddened arm bleed?
Have you ever bent backwards to see your best friend glad,
Only for them to reject you and leave you lost and sad?
Have you ever looked back at your happy life and friends,
And compared it to the life now, the one you wish would end?
I have felt alone amongst a million people,
I have portrayed the signs of a life becoming feeble,
I have confided to a friend and see their face of disgust,
I have seen myself as unbeautiful and cursed.
I have cut away the pain, and felt the quick release,
I have become depressed so that my friend would find peace,
I have looked back at time when I was so care free,
And I do wish my life would end, so serenity’s what I’d see.

You're so talented, and this may sound odd but the pain you've been through has let this talent show.. Even if it has been rough, at least you have something to turn to, another release besides the cutting. Keep with it, because cutting is only a temporary solution. |
The Lost Girl (4.226.168.184) -- Thursday, November 3 2005, 04:46 am Mike, I appreciate you're comments greatly. Knowing that somewhere, even if not here, my thoughts are being heard by someone keeps me going. In a few weeks I will be looking upon my 16th birthday, and I will know that I was able to make it to the sweet age of 16 because of the support I've gotten from kind responces like yours. Thank You because all I want is to be heard. |

Mike (82.35.78.186) -- Sunday, November 6 2005, 02:19 am I turn 17 in a few weeks, and every day I wonder how I've survived what I have, and how long my 'luck' will last. I know how you feel when you say all you want is to be heard, and I'll do whatever I can to help you achieve that. :) |
