A Pill Or Two
2 November, 2005
Author: Taylor James
scared of living with this pain
a pain that was silent
untill i gave it a voice
i recognized what he had done
and now the nightmare has only just begun.
one day i know i will die
and meet with the person
whos made my life so glum
i will tell him
how he made me feel
and then i will know that its real.
all i need is a tablet or two
to face my demons
and release my fears
but in this world
i love to many people
how could i do it to those ones i cherish.
i will wait to my day comes
ill live with the pain
how hard can it be?
ive lasted this long
why not another 60 years.
maybe i will get over the pain
maybe everyones efforts wont have gone in vain.
all i can do is just wait and see
untill we meet you and me.
or maybe i wont
maybe ill put a gun to my throat
to see the man to whom i hate
to see the one who sealed my fate.

Meridian (205.188.116.203) -- Thursday, November 3 2005, 02:48 am Taylor! Mr. Pizzazz! I hope that last stanza was just something to finish the poem off with, because I hope you aren't actually contemplating suicide. We care! But I've been down this road of pain many times before, I understand how it feels to be in a position where you haven't felt joy in over years. Keep on writing Teeej, because you have folks who love your work, and the strong, powerful messages that you bring forth in your poems! |
