Weep
3 November, 2005
Author: Ing Twi Demalah
Weep O' mine eyes,
Mourn my soul for they that are lost.
Whose stubbornness blinds their hearts
And Hides the truth of their salvation
They whose hearts are callused
who will hear not the voice of the Lord
Why O' my people are thou so unlearned
Why refusest thou to hear the voice of the Lord Look,
thy children die, their parents mourn
thy nursing mothers hide in fear
Our kings O' my people have sold us as slaves
And give them selves over to mammon, to lust
Cry out O' mine heart
call upon the name of the Lord our God
Pray my spirit, pray for my people every where
that they returneth to the Lord
And turn from the wickedness of their ways
Hear O' my Lord the cry of thy people
I cry to the Lord for help
Comfort my heart and calm my soul O' Lord
Save thy people O' Lord let thy mercy be known
hear O' my God, thy people cry to thee
they are in need of your love O' God
Let thy hand lift them up again.
Weep O' Mine eyes,
Cry to the Lord O' my soul.

Meridian (205.188.116.203) -- Thursday, November 3 2005, 02:54 am Ing! Heyah! Great stuff! Wonderful psalm, wonderful hymn, wonderful praise, wonderful prayer. Weep the weep of no tomorrow. Weep for those that are lost, those who have gone astray. Nice! Your poem title "Weep" reminded me of the scripture, 'Jesus Wept'. Forgot where in the Bible it is found, but it's in there somewhere. Laugh out loud. Keep those good poems coming Ing! |
