Does It Mean A Thing?
4 November, 2005
Author: Shan
We'll meet the same demise
despite the views we choose to see
We all loose sight of mind in life
and in who we use to be
So I'll leave my lines with you, tonight
to figure what it means
I can scream my heart out a million times
and it may never mean a thing
So this is where I bare my soul
for all who care to see
To tear a hole, to use, to hold
to be anything you need
You have given me the ability
to live as vividly as I dream
and my only fear is the emptiness I feel
Every time you leave

Meridian (152.163.100.197) -- Saturday, November 5 2005, 12:32 am Shan! Giving your all, opening your heart and yet there's always that fear of abandonment, rejection, neglect--they all tie together, don't they? Your words are like a bottle of water, pouring out so that the liquid flows from line to line, connecting to form another poetic poem, leaving me in wonderment; they're that good! Keep at it Shan! |
