These New Born Memories

this sand dollar
You place in my hand, today
Holds more precious memories
than anyone cain ever begin to understand
It talks of love of two hearts that never were
It speaks of our untouched innocent love shared
It shares the you in me
And of the love that will always to be
We opened up so many today
And upon each we released
the symbol of love, tiny doves stowed away
I remember a story, told to me
now, whether it was true
It didn’t matter , to me, because if It was about love
In love i always believe!
it shared and talked
About a legend of so long ago
of a fair maiden, whose love was for only one man
that man had to go away on a mission,
A sacrifice , he had to do to prove his love
And make a weak heart strong
He got lost at sea,
He knew in his heart, when he peeked into hers
he would become more than a memory
She waited patiently upon his return, She never gave up
her love guided him through the thickest blanket of fog that ever was
and the meanest waves of the seas that came to be
he found his way back to her heart
As a shadow beneath a breath
Of another heart , she was too blind to see
But she felt his touch , his fragrance was close to her heart
The child in me, enjoyed hearin’
that story told each and every time
It was a fairy tale I wished was mine
As time went on I realized it was my life one spoke of
Because I still felt his love
i shared a life with someone special for a short time, that was taken away
This sand dollar holds a taste of our memories of his love
And the ones we made here today
Will stay behind to share in someone else’s heart
this single sand dollar
holds a precious memory of a moment we shared
A memory that is close to my heart and soul
With five simple words you wanted for ever to be us
All I cain say is your love , I accept and take where ever I go
As I send mine with you in your journey upon my heart
On long lonely days when we are apart
