It burns incessantly
at a constant pace
lives the flame within
Cold as ice I feel
the heart becomes
nearing dying moments
of pain and despair
and yet strives
to survive,
beat and live
for the love
you give..
Nothing ever
will put out the
smouldering embers
that keeps the heart
burning..yearning
for you.
