Slipping Away
8 November, 2005
Author: Emma-Louise
I’ve known you all my life,
we were such good friends.
Where did it end?
We were always so close.
We spent all our time together,
it was just you and me.
Now what do I see?
You’re never here anymore.
We had such good laughs,
we never needed to argue.
I’m starting to miss you,
where did you go?
Always so together,
nothing could tear us apart.
You had a special place in my heart,
you weren’t just my cousin.
I classed you as my best friend,
and I was yours aswell,
but now I’m just your cousin, I can tell.
Our memories locked away.
You’re lost in them,
We’re not the same anymore.
You told me everything before
you turned into a stranger.
Now there’s tears on my pillow,
thinking of what used to be.
Why can’t you see?
You’re slipping away.
And the sad reality is..
I don’t know you anymore.
------- Author's Notes -------
I've noticed how I always end it in two lines that don't rhyme. |
