Evolution
11 November, 2005
Author: Mike
Caught in the claws of the hungry t-rex.
Teeth gnashing. Eyes dilated.
Saliva dripping down onto its frightened face.
Poor innocent animal.
Prey, pray become my lunch.
Blood rolls down the torn flesh,
Rockpools of sweet red nectar.
Bliss. Utter bliss.
Evolution, eh?
Even now, trapped in the sights of the predator,
We bleed.
Words digging deep under our skin,
Layer after layer after layer.
Fresh wounds opening over
Long lost scars.
We supposedly lost our 'animal instincts'.
Or lust for sorrow.
Pain, Hurt,
BLOOD.
But have we?
