The Edge

At the edge I stand with open arms
The wind blows with inviting charms
You want me to be free but the worse part
To forsake a dream, and deny my heart
The fire in my soul burns ever bright
Even within the darkest night
But hidden is the flame from the world’s eyes
Covered up repeatedly with lies upon lies
To jump is to kill the fire that yearns to blaze free
The fire that wants to show the world what it needs to see
If I do take this leap which you so ask me too
Wut happens when find I still have these feelings for you?
What happens when I find myself in something I’m not fully in?
What happens when she says, “smile if you love only me” and I can only give her a grin??
To be pushed and pulled upon this ledge
So close yet so far from the edge
Alone is this decision I must make
Whether or not this leap I should take
So for now I stand on this ledge so high
Wondering whether or not I should try to fly…

Nice poem forsaken, it was unlike anything I've ever read before, but at the same time, it was wonderfully written. Very simple and lovely too. Keep writing forsaken, very good work.
