I sleep dreaming of your face.
I wake to birds singing your name.

Your eyes light up my world.
Your smile creates my dreams.

One look at you and see my whole life.
Past blown away. Present surreal. Future…us.

You push me beyond myself.
You make me want to be a better man.

You motivate my soul.
You spark my creativity.

If I were a painter you would be my Sistine Chapel.
If I were a musician, you’d be my greatest symphony.

But I’m neither of those…
I’m a writer.

So I paint you with words.
I compose you with phrases.

The way you tilt your head and look at me.
The way your eyes shine when I tell you I love you.

The feeling of you in my arms.
The softness of your skin to my touch.

I see a pure art form when you walk into a room.
Hear the most beautiful music when you speak.

These painted words fly from my brush!
Our soundtrack plays on this paper!

Yet, I cannot create an accurate picture…
Write the correct notes, that are you.

But you are not my creation.
You are real.

Even if you weren’t real…
I’d make you up.

Just to believe someone like you could exist.
