Can't Live A Lie
25 November, 2005
Author: Senko
When I wake up,
and see the light of a new day,
I can't help thinking
"Will all this go away?"
Will I have to keep pretending,
I'm happy?
Will I ruin this life,
like so many before?
It seems I have to
pick at it,
poke at it,
shake it till it breaks.
I try to be myself
But it seems I'm afraid,
Afraid of disappointing you.
Just like before
But i feel right now,
I CAN'T!
take this anymore!
I try to be who you want me to be,
I really do,
but i can't live a lie,
and even though I've tried,
More than one time.
Kicking and screaming,
and wiping tears from my eyes,
I'll say it one more time
"I cant live a lie"
