Dust In The Wind

Cool summer breeze
that touched his face
in the summer time
soft tender like
the warm breaths
my face against his neck
ruffling my hair
the wind blew
no one knew
except me..him
and the summer wind..
I hid him from
this world...for
I knew..and I was told...
love is taken away
the love that
was our kind...
So, I held him close
under me..his face
hidden in these
arms of mine
The tendrils that
fell on his face
a refuge we found
in our embrace
No one knew..but
it was me..him..and
the summer wind..
And as time fled
little did I know
the same cold summer breeze
would rise and blow
take away the much
held love of mine
scatter away
like dust in the
wind.

Martin Vann (4.227.100.100) -- Sunday, November 27 2005, 05:31 pm A very poweful yet, tender poem. Love to lust, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. I read this in several ways, its a powerful poem full, of interpretive meanings and messages. The spring of live full of love yields to the winter wind as it will touch us all as dust, become the summer breeze one again in another's heart as the live the summer breeze before, winter, once again arrive. |

Princess Moon (71.40.28.18) -- Monday, November 28 2005, 07:10 pm Awesome poem Moonstarshine, I really enjoyed it. It had very beautiful realism in emotion to it. And I just love how it ended, from beginning to end, just like I like it. Great work moonstarshine. Keep writing, like Martin said, it was a powerful poem. |
