The Rain
29 November, 2005
Author: Laura Van Sickle
She loved the rain.
For it hid her lonesome tears.
In these perfect moments,
there was nothing to fear.
It could carry away,
all her pain.
Gently set her down.
It could forgive her.
It brought restless peace,
that somehow never lasted.
Passionate tears from the sky.
She loved the rain.
It could let her love.
Veiling her faults,
her beauty was what she felt.
For one night,
Only comming out with the storm,
she could love,
until the rain
would graciously
Stop.
