Metanoia
1 December, 2005
Author: Angel In Tears
To turn around,
To face a new direction,
Towards the light is daunting and perplexing.
But as you face the light,
Shadows tumble behind you.
Please,Turn around.

Angel in Tears (86.135.145.219) -- Sunday, December 4 2005, 04:33 pm "Metanoia" means what the first two lines state. If shadows are all around, then look up, instead of down. There will always be a glimmer of light, or something of that sort, and if it is so dark, then only better things can happen. Even at night, there are stars in the sky. The light can be small, but its there. And if all fails, light a candle!!! |
Angel in Tears (86.135.94.8) -- Sunday, December 4 2005, 07:00 pm P.S. ...if there are shadows,there is light. |
Meridian (64.12.116.139) -- Thursday, December 8 2005, 07:23 pm Hey Angel! Reminds me driving on a bridge, going through a tunnel and all you can see is the dimness except for that little flicker of light on each side of the tunnel... But gradually, you'll see that speck of light getting bigger and bigger until you're out... Wonderful poem on Metanoia! At first I didn't know what it meant either until you explained it... Thanks for the new vocabulary word...lol |
Angel in Tears (86.135.206.246) -- Saturday, December 10 2005, 08:24 pm When 'Metanoia' was written, it's exactly what I thought of the poem myself, even though, no tunnel was in mind directly. Thank you, for the comment, which is always a pleasure to read. Glad you liked Metanoia! |
