my stories
and adventures,
you listen to all day long-
forever -
as you make the cabbage rolls
and apple dumpling soup.
i chew on a raw rhubarb,
dipped in sugar-
scrinch my face,
as layers upon layers of
thoughts spill out endlessly
like melted chocolate
escaping from a broken
chocolate machine.
you tell me your stories.
how you rode horses-
long braids flying
on the Baltic shoreline-
wild waves - amber sunlight.
i see you
you scare me-
when you tell me about
how you and your little girl were
almost hit by bombs
going to the grocery one quiet morning.
how big the hole was...
i can see it.
i tell you,
chewing on the rhubarb,
that when you are
really really old,
i will pull you around
in a wagon-
anywhere-
anywhere you want
forever.........
