Confusion.
5 December, 2005
Author: Emma-Louise
Don’t show me anymore,
I can’t take it.
Or who you used to be.
I don’t wanna have to find out,
So don’t tell me.
Suspicious eyes cant help but wander.
Everytime I search
Somethings takes over,
And I can’t stop the emptiness.
Jealousy, being envious
Or scared, worried..
I can’t quite figure it out.
Or just this world,
How it is now.
I hate the whole concept.
In the past is where I live
Where I run to
If things get too hard.
But you live in the future
The evidence stares me in the face
I can’t stand this.
Explicit and Unseen,
My eyes read over and over.
But you never knew.
Because I choose never to tell you what I discover about who you were.
Or maybe who you are.
Am I in denial?

Mike (82.35.78.186) -- Monday, December 5 2005, 11:17 am Wow, Emma. You've really managed to convey your confusion with this poem.. I love this poem, full of contradition and arguments with yourself, especially that last stanza. |
Emma (86.1.48.222) -- Tuesday, December 6 2005, 04:58 pm Lol, yeah.. I actually only began to wonder about the "Or maybe who you are, am I in denial?" when I wrote that line before it. That was meant to be my finishing line, but my mind dwelled on it whilst I typed it and I realised how wrong I could be and how wrong I could've interpreted him.. I'm glad you like it. |
