I closed my eyes
And remembered you and me
And it only took a second
For my eyes to remember too
They remembered with the tears you left behind
And when my heart remembered it broke a little more
When mind wrapped around all of the different memories
It wanted to hate you and knew it should
But how can you hate someone who gave you so much love
How do you pull away when you know they still hold your memories as close
How do you kiss someone else when you know you should be kissing them
And why does your heart have such an open broken hand
