Wilting Rose
5 December, 2005
Author: Scorpio
O Wilting Rose, so tempting and sweet
Yet hast thou left me so?
Dear petals falling with each breath
A once lush crimson now dying
Before my eyes, the life drained from thee
A bitter-sweet defeat to entice
But nay, for thine courage hast fallen
And thy love forgotten
Only the memories of sweet passion
For thou hast left me so
Confined in the shell of what used to be
And I, having known love
Cannot live on mere kindness
------- Author's Notes -------
I wrote it for school, a simple metaphor which I hope can be understood. Please excuse the horrific old english. |
