New Belief

here i stand at the edge once more
happy to the world but empty in my core
wut i seek in life is no different from you
i seek a love...a love that is true
a love that gives life meaning...gives life worth
a love that last long after i leave this earth
i thought i saw that love in there eyes..
but it all turned out the same...half truth whole lies
i mean to say that love was there
just not the type to forever share
it wasnt an "i love you no matter what"
more along the lines of "i love you but.."
i love you but..i want more
i love you but.. im not sure
i love you but..not the way you love me
i love you but..it/we just cant be
so here i stand to ask you this
is this so called "love" worth the risk?
through my thoughts i've found relief
to which i have a new belief
"love lyke theres no tomorrow
and love without regret, fear or sorrow"

Meridian (70.106.25.253) -- Thursday, December 22 2005, 09:53 pm Hey Forsaken! What's hanging? It's good to read your stuff again! Not that I haven't read 'The Edge' because I have and as usual, you've got the skill to the max. You write the thoughts from your conscience on paper. This poem like many of your other poems remind me of a brain. It's like I'm reading your mind on paper, if you know what I mean, you're so evocative and graphic! Lovely dovely poem! |
Inarush (24.237.39.7) -- Tuesday, April 25 2006, 05:12 am That's deep. I really like your most recent poems. They speak to me almost better than your old ones did. Possibly because of the perfect rhyme or because i've grown.... naaah. |
