a kiss in the night on the breeze of love
floats so gracefully like the flight of a dove
so tender and sweet it flows to me
only to be stoped so abruptly
blocked by the remenents of sorrows past
the sorrows that know it not to last
the shadows of former loves still remain
along with reminders of previous pain
the loveless lies
of tearless cries
the promises spoken
only to be broken
nights spent wondering why
why i gave it my all for it to die
now shielded by this lamentful song
of fearing wut will go wrong
i lay awake at night to see
what will never be for me
stuck in the dark with no light in sight
i wish for an end to this onsided fight

Marci (38.115.151.66) -- Wednesday, December 28 2005, 10:41 pm I really enjoyed reading this poem. You seem very talented. I can see that you choose words wisely. They flow together well. After each line I couldn't wait to read the next. I can't wait to read more of what you write! |
