My Little Pitcher
31 December, 2005
Author: Lori
There she stands
on the mound
She glances and takes
a look around
Her hair is pulled back
in a pony tail
She is dripping with sweat
from the heat of the sun
she is nervous that the
game has begun
She winds up her pitch
the batter she swings
the ball flew by
before she could blink
her eyes
She takes a deep breath
and lets out a sigh
she is ready to
make her attack fly
Again and again they
fly like bullets
Dont get hit by one of
these pitches
cus if you do
they will sting like
hornets
All the batters
are standing on their feet
their bodies are pressing
against the fence
They are in awe at the
power of this little girls pitch
and they are not ready
to face defeat
The umpire throws the mask
to the ground and lets
outs a scream
strick three!!!!
The batter turns to
walk away from the plate
she holds her head down she
has faced defeat
