I am Danielle,
I am Gery-An.
I am two people.
And one doesn't give a damn.

I am the one who suffers,
Gery-Ann is the strong one.
I am weak and frightened.
Gery-an likes the fun.

Gery-An in powerful.
Gery-An controls my mind.
Danielle is the nice one.
Gery-An is unkind.

Gery-An thrives on hurt.
Ger-An thrives on pain.
Gery-An hates me inside,
Yet we are the same.

Gery-An knows my life.
Gery-An knows my fears.
Gery-An is locked inside,
Creating all my fears.

Gery-Aan is my nightmare.
Gery-An forbids my dreams.
When people are around,
Gery-An takes my screams.

Gery-An will be my death,
Because Gery-An is me.
Gery-An hurts me so,
because Gery-An is An-Gery.

I am 26 and I have Bi-Polar.I often describe my emotional outbursts in different ways. I am unable to define how I am feeling. All my emotions get muddled and I feel them all at once. I don't get guilt, therefore can be nasty to people. I don't enjoy anything so I do nothing. Although I can be quite high and not sleep properly for ages. I could go on. . . . . . Danielle's bipolar poem
Danielle, I love your poem! It is well written. I can really relate as I also have bipolar and have had since I was 11. Reading it helped remind me that I am not so weird and that there are people out there who feel the same way I do.
