I Walk Alone
9 January, 2006
Author: Tammy
I have traveled many roads
lost, and all alone.
Full of sorrow, and regret
no place to call a home.
I've wandered over valleys
that only led to pain.
I been burned by the sunshine,
and drowned by pouring rain.
I have slept in cold,
as hunger laid deep inside.
Nothing to quench my thirst
I pushed my needs aside.
Though through all my troubles
I shall carry my load.
I'll start my next journey
down that long dusty road.

anonymous (207.200.116.133) -- Monday, January 9 2006, 08:33 am I just looked up this word hours before I read your poem because I wanted to know what this hotel's name ment, "Vagabond." This is what your poem brought to my mind. A wanderer, moving from place to place without a fixed home. Nice poem Tammy, enjoyed it. Thanks! |
