I Miss You
13 January, 2006
Author: Catyrose
I miss you
Not as you desire me
I long for the return of friendship
You seek renewed passion
Yet I can't let go
Even though we travel a different road
I need you to know that I care for you
Not as you care for me
I carry you as a part of myself
Of the heart
Of the soul
I speak to you daily
Calling out to you
Lest you forget
My love for you burns brightly
For the times we shared together
Through the long hard years
Your hand was there to steady me
And mine reached out to you
I long to be the one you cling to
When you feel so alone
Yet I can't be there for you
As we once were
Once so close
And now so far apart
