A Friend
15 January, 2006
Author: Catyrose
I spoke to you again today
The words they now flow splendidly
Amongst we two
Can it be?
That sparkle in your eyes
Is just for me?
Your smile delights me
Your quick wit reminds me of one so long ago
I laugh once more
Where did you come from?
Heaven must have sent you
To fill the space he left within my soul
I try to run
You hold on
Such wisdom you possess
You say you understand
No need to overwhelm
A friend you'll be
Trust you say
Takes time to build
And time is all you have
You're always there
You take the time to show you care
The little things you say and do
Can it be
I've found a friend in you?
