Thoughts

Author: Catyrose
One fine day the loathing appears to cease
Anger gives way to hurt
Leaving behind an injured spirit
The damage done is transient
Wounds do heal
With the passage of time
Scars develop only to recede eventually
Serving as reminders of past blunders
Errors best avoided the next time around
Healing begins with solitude and reflection
Mending we allow others to love us
Until we learn to love ourselves again
Over time understanding permeates the hardened heart
Forgiveness replaces the need to blame
Sending us off into the distance to love once more
