Peter Pan
19 January, 2006
Author: Anjali Thapa
The Lil' Mermaid threw a pebble,
Into the water,
Deep, untroubled.
What did she get?
Ripples,
Ripples that smiled at her,
Ripples that sparkled for her,
Millions and millions of her,
Angels that sang
Just for her.
I threw a pebble,
Into the water
No ripples, no songs
Calm, spooky as it was.
"No,not a gurl agin'!" cried he
On the rocks,
Brutally handsome,
Dangerously free,
Always eighteen,
Peter Pan with his team.
Doesn't he miss anybody?
Doesn't he love ?
I shrug my shoulders.
Well, fairy tales,
I've had enough already, haven't I ?
