Battered Prey
20 January, 2006
Author: Tammy

vinebar

Hiding in the midst of shadows
creeping around in ivory black.
Waiting for my guard to fall
getting ready for your attack.

Circling my body like prey
you devour my heart.
Ripping to shreds my happiness
tearing my life apart.

You cover me with hate
inflicting my being with pain.
Shattering my hopes, and dreams
leaving only lifeless remains.
