If Only
22 January, 2006
Author: Tammy
If only today was promised
I would hold you for awhile.
I would gently kiss your lips,
and gaze into your smile.
I would tell you that
I love you, and you mean
the world to me.
And with you is where my
heart was always meant to be.
If today I had just one moment
to look into your eyes.
I would stare endlessly as
the day went flying by.
If only, If only
is what I always seem to say.
Today is not promised
just like it wasn't Yesterday.
(Yesterday I Lost You)
