The Girl Across The Street
26 January, 2006
Author: ShyHeart
You peek out your window, see her in her wedding dress
The chauffeur opens up the door, she slips inside, ready to devote
Her heart to love, and the children that will arrive, he closes the door
This will be the ride of her life, he closes the door, she opens up her heart
The chapel has a steeple, and the bell is made of love, the rest is all wood
The limousine was paid for by his last, three pay-checks, She smiles
And devotes the rest of who she is and will become, to two words, I do
Children grow and leaves fall, they never let spring, pass their hearts
You have found your heart, you saw a dream through a window, come true
Two words you say, I do. Children bless the love of your hearts, I think
If, we look pass the cold glass, love will come into our hearts and you will say
I saw the girl next door in her wedding dress, slip into a limousine, so sweet

Your words come to life at the door of my heart. "She smiles, and devotes the rest of who she is and will become, to two words, I do." There are no sweeter dreams than the ones you write. Place this in your heart....."I do....and I will. Always." |
