Red Red Wine
29 January, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Miniscule bubbles forming in the crystal chalice
Swirl the ruby tinted liquid round and round
Gazing deep into the glass what does she see?
A spirit so transparent to her alone
Please, please see through
The inebriated smirk upon her face
Worn this armor for so long now
Shoulders bend and bow under the weight
Someone lend a hand
Lift this burden that she bears
You hold the key in the palm of your hand
You hesitate
I back away
Lest we open the door once more
Pandora’s box is all I see for you and me
