Hearts
3 February, 2006
Author: Catyrose
I search behind the whites of your eyes
Looking for answers to questions you’ll never understand
The language of love you’ll never speak
Our souls will never touch
Nothing lies beneath the surface
You swim in the shallow end
I plunge off into the depths
You’ll never hear my heart crying
Deafened to desire
Your heart has grown cold,
So bitter you have become
My own heart has been tattered and torn
Yet the flames within have not subsided
Still scorching to the touch
If you placed your hand upon my breast
Would you feel the love that burns within
I think not!
Heart in hand, I’ll turn
And walk away
