He Is My Destiny
4 February, 2006
Author: Marion Carroll
In dreams he holds me to his heart,
I melt into his chest.
My head tilts back to smile at him,
as he unzips my dress.
We sway in sweet slow rhythm
to the music that we make.
He leads me in the dance of love
with every step we take.
In dreams we share the same sweet life,
We're free to share our hearts.
There are no shadows in that world
and we're not kept apart.
But morning comes, a new day starts,
and we are not together.
And he and I walk separately,
alone in rainy weather.
In dreams there is an end to all
the heartache that we feel.
Someday, I'll wake beside him and
the dream will then be real.
Until then, I hold on to faith
that he believes in me,
and know without a doubt at all,
he is my destiny.
