Did I Tell You I Love You Today?

Did I tell you I loved you today?
Funny how time slips away
Seems like only yesterday you were but a child
Nestled safely in my arms
Protected, from each and every harm
Smiling eyes and piggy tails
Freckled nose and tiny toes
Tell me where the time does go?
Days went by I watched you grow
Toddling cross the kitchen floor
Mommy’s helper doing chores
Growing taller day by day
Running out the door to play
ABC’ s and Numbers too
Pretty pictures that you drew
Flowers you picked just for me
From the neighbors down the street
Times I wish we could repeat
Days flew by and years went past
Life it seems to go so fast
Pictures hanging on the wall
Tell the story of it all
Days gone by when you were small
Baby, how I loved them all!
