Angel Baby
13 February, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Took a walk with an angel this morning
Smiling sweetly up at me
Held her tiny hand in mine
Such a peaceful, quiet time
Seeing through the eyes of this child
My steps become lighter
We glide along together
Wishing these moments would last forever
Her voice is like a melody
It speaks to my soul
Entwining our hearts
We remain close
Never to part
Angel baby presses her soft cheek against mine
Skin so soft, invites the gentle touch
Trusting arms reach out for me
Gathered in a warm embrace
Sunlight splashes across an innocent face
I toss you up into the sky
As we watch the birds on high
Angel baby, in the sky
Will you teach me how to fly?
As days go by and new days dawn
Hold on to these days we’ve shared
Never doubt how much I cared
