A Writers Mind
10 February, 2006
Author: Tricia Lyn
I write to feel free
I write to feel safe
I try to express the whirl pool of thoughts that I'm
swirling in
I set in a daze of words, Swarming like tornados around me
Grabing and reaching at the first in sight
Clouding fumes feel my mind
I can only think of what nonsense to write about next
Words turn into sentences
Sentences turn into paragraphs
That may flow off the paper
Where you may never relax
Words fall off the tip of my tongue
Until I hit the wall
Writers Block...
Theres more to be said
But concentration is hard to regain
It feels like rabid wolves seeking prey
The thirst of pride and success lie before my grasp
With force and frustration
I find the key to unlock the barrier before my path
Silence is left behind
I shout out to it
Victory is mind
The echo yells back in terrored fear "defeat"
The heart beating fast and strong
For the moment yet to come
Its time to reveal
The secret untold
Its time for me to read my poem...
------- Author's Notes -------
I decided to write this piece of mine to express the trouble I have to go through just to write my feelings down on a piece of paper. T hope you may relate or at least enjoy reading this. Thank you. |
