Only A Step Behind by Tammy

Last night I died
I drifted off to sleep.
I traveled home to heaven,
and left you here to weep.
I never meant to hurt you,
but it was my time.
Please know i'm not that far
for you are only a step behind.
When you look at the stars that
light up the night sky,
and if tears start to fall
from your weary eyes.
Think of me, and times we had
the times we shared
the good, and bad.
Remember me when the rain
falls around you.
Remember me when the sun
shines so bright.
Feel the breeze blow around you
think of me holding you tight.
I am all around you
just look and you will see.
My darling i'm not that far
for you are only a step
behind me.

tear jerker
