I Promise
23 February, 2006
Author: Tammy
No riches I have
no wealth do I treasure.
All I have is my love
"that I promise you forever".
No fancy words do I know
no dimonds do I wear.
But I promise my life
with you I shall share.
I may never be a queen, or
own many lands.
But in marriage I will
give you my hand.
I give you all of me, and
promise you my heart.
Even in sickness we
shall never be apart.
I will give you my love
both day, and night.
Climb rocky mountains
to be by your side.
There's nothing in this world
for you I wouldn't do.
I would jump through fire
just to be with you.
Together forever we
will be.
In good times, and bad
I give you all of me.
Our love is timeless
no one will tear us down.
Together we stand firmly
on Gods sacred ground.
When this life is over
my love will remain true.
Even in death
I shall still love you.
------- Author's Notes -------
I really don't like the title I put with this poem, but I wrote this thinking of my marriage. |
