The Girl Without A Face
24 February, 2006
Author: Leah06
Have you ever felt so helpless
Trapped in a sound-proof box
No one notices your kicking and screaming
All you can do is sit there and watch.
The one you love hold her hand
And whisper secrets in her ear
Their long distance relationship thriving
Even though it is you whom holds him dear.
You tell him exactly how you feel
Heart pounding to hear what he’ll say
Only to discover he has a girlfriend
Regret settles and you can’t take back that day.
Questions race through your mind
Wishes play in your dreams
Endless shoulda, woulda, coulda’s
Prove more painful that it seems.
Do you know how it feels
When you discover it’s too late
To be with that special one
And it’s your fault.
If only you had told him from the beginning
Maybe you could be in her place
But your chance has passed
Your that girl without a face.
