Dreaming Of A Song To Sing
1 March, 2006
Author: Miztrebor
I just awakened from a dream,
To continue my thoughts of you.
I must write this down quick,
My fingers won’t last much longer.
I just spent my waking hours,
Searching for you in a song.
Now blood drips from the strings,
As the guitar goes out of tune.
But through the crimson rivers,
Soaks much Love.
Pouring out my heart for you,
With no avail.
My dream came with no pain.
This has done, for me much good.
There was a clearing in the forest,
And a cliff overlooking the sea.
So placid, so complete,
You make me complete.
Let us go find this place,
Though it may only exist in a dream.
Find this paradise,
And just relax.
I wish you were here with me,
Dreaming with me in my bed.
But you cannot be here tonight,
For it is almost done,
And you are so far away,
Away for so long.
I don’t wish any longer,
To bear this burden.
Please come back!
All I have is this picture of you,
This beautiful memory in my mind.
It will never fade, though.
Straight to my heart it has shined.
