Ray Of Light
24 September, 2003
Author: Deb
Every cell in my body is rejoicing now
The sky has taken on brighter shade of blue
The house doesn't seem so drab anymore
The roaches smile at me
Mosquitoes have been invited to feast
No worries no tension
I can sing at the top of my voice
Grass looks greener, the bush looks friendlier
Mud and worms exquisite art
This mass of protoplasm is overflowing with happiness
Bubbling from the depths of my being
It will only last a short timer but it will be savoured
The gloom will return
When he does I'll deal with it again
I will never forget my ray of light

Ben (64.175.70.213) -- Thursday, September 25 2003, 06:47 pm Deb, this mass of protoplasm enjoyed this poem. It is a good reminder to relish the rays of light while they are shining. Seeing the art in mud and worms is a nice touch, too. This made me think of the rays of light that are shining on me. Thank you! |
