Storm Clouds
8 March, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Sitting by the fireside
Thoughts of you ablaze within my mind
So long ago and far away
A crisp and clear November day
Feeling warm and safe within your arms
Spell-bound by your ever present charm
Undaunted by the storm clouds
Poised above our heads
Snuggling closer in that old four poster bed
Looking back I close my eyes
I see your smile so warm and kind
Another place, another time
Memories alive, within my mind
You held me close
And whispered softly
The words I longed to hear
As I recall, the tears
They soon began to fall
Our time together
So short and sweet
Days and nights we shall not repeat
You closed your eyes
One last time
As I held your hand in mine
Memories they come and go
A stormy eve, so long ago
Your spirit passed on in the night
I awakened cold and lonely in the morning light
