Blessings by Catyrose

Lately times have been tough
The going has been a bit rough
Yet tonite I'll count my blessings
For one I hold dear
My sister who quiets my fears
She wipes away the tears that fall
As I try to make sense of it all

You showed up at my door tonight
With kids in tow
How did you know?
That children are my medicine
I need a daily fix

They laugh
They play
They take me away
From the stress I face
Each and every day

Playing hide and seek
Bouncing babies on my knee
Offers an escape and sets me free
From me

So tonite I'll be grateful
For the little things
Those precious little children
That seem to come with wings

This is so sweet
Children are a reminder of all that is sweet and lovely, aren't they? I have a friend whose daughter is 2 1/2 and I have to get my fix of her at least every other week. I can't wait for grandbabies.

Yes, children see the world in such a simple way. It's refreshing. And grandbabies are the best! :) I have two little grandaughters, one nearby who brightens my day whenever she's around.

AWWW yes children, a delghtful blessin' are they not?..moments at the park, makin' bubbles in a parkin' lot, runnin' and flyin' a kite..my home is always open to ALL children , i have 3 stayin' here with me, indefinently not the first and most certainly not the last...my life is so full and Blessed , i share it with a child..i enjoy sharin' my happy humble home. i do this for myself as well as in memory of my husband whom was always surrounded by children, the delight of providin' them a stable lovin' home comes back to me three fold without expectin' it...loved your words , i love all your inspiational words Caty, they too are a blessin' in the many that are touched by them. you have such a beautiful soul that gives the universe an Angeletic HUG..thanx 4 sharin'

Thank you Terri as always for you very kind words. It's absolutely wonderful how you take children into your home. Yes you are right we receive so much more from the little ones than we could ever give. You're a great lady. And I have missed reading your poetry. so glad you're back. :)

Your words are a warm embrace upon my heart
Caty doll,i am back in Readin', not Writin', my heart's heartbeat and i continue to write love poetry for each other, i was asked to write a few more with a few of our poet friends , now that i may do. we will drop in from time to time. we love you all, we will never abandon you !
