Affection
20 March, 2006
Author: Clive B Ringshall
With each new break of day,
With each black coffee sip,
I remember the day you held my hand,
I remember the warmth you gave from your heart,
I remembered the times we’d laugh at our show,
I remember the times I’d cook only for you,
Each day that followed closer we two came,
Each day that followed we talked through and through,
Anything was our topic and anything we shared,
Seems we were born just to meet this way,
Seems we were born to hold each other tight,
Seems now we can rely on each others trust,
Our love grows more when we’re apart,
Our love turns to a hidden passion when we both are near,
In times of stress I run to your hand,
In times of stress I’m here for your tears,
When we we’re together why did we part?
We were happy, seldom not,
We worked in our quirky way,
Most of all we loved in a special way,
We still do love in that special way,
At times we feel each others touch,
Till we share those moments again,
You in my thoughts please don’t turn away.
